Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Welcome to Unsent Out Loud, the space for anonymous unsent messages, emotional release, and shared truth. Whether you're here to submit a message, read others', or learn more about the platform, these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) will help guide your experience.
What Is Unsent Out Loud?
Unsent Out Loud is a growing collection of anonymous messages that were never sent. These include unsent texts, letters, confessions, and emotional thoughts that people choose to keep private but share publicly.
This is a place where real words are shared without fear, identity, or judgment. Messages are raw, real, and shared to remind us that we are not alone.
“You don’t have to send it to them. But you can say it here.”
Is Unsent Out Loud a Therapy Service?
No. Unsent Out Loud is not a therapy site and is not a substitute for professional counseling or mental health services. However, many people find that releasing their words here brings relief and clarity. Writing what you never got to say can feel deeply healing and empowering.

Your words are reviewed with care and handled with respect. Messages are never tied back to your identity.
Is It Really Anonymous?
Yes. All messages submitted to Unsent Out Loud are truly anonymous. We do not collect names, IP addresses, or identifying information. If a message includes personal details, such as names, places, or workplaces, we may replace them with an asterisk (*) to protect the privacy of the individuals involved. Foul language is also replaced with an asterisk. This ensures your voice is preserved while your identity remains protected.
Do You Edit the Messages?
No. We do not edit messages for grammar, tone, or clarity.
The only adjustments we make are:
Replacing identifying traits (such as names and places) with an asterisk
Censoring inappropriate or offensive language with an asterisk
The emotion, intent, and meaning remain exactly as you sent them.
